Madeleine is finally six. It seems like this birthday has taken longer than any of the others. She has been waiting for months. She woke up early to open presents, played and did face paint at Summer Camp, and went to Byron's for mini burgers. She finished off her busy day with cake and ice cream. Now, she's asking how long it'll take until she's seven. We tell her that it will take a year. Maddie says that's just too long!
