Maddie's Birthday; Summer Fun; Ballet and Isabelle's Piano Recital

Maddie is now officially five. It seems like she's been almost five for a long time (too many pre-birthday parties). On her actual birthday, we celebrated with a trip to Build-a-Bear, McDonalds and a family party at home (with strawberry cake, candles, singing and presents).

We're finally getting some sun in London, and the girls are enjoying it while it lasts.

Maddie recently attended her end of term ballet class. She dressed up like a fairy princess.

Isabelle is crawling all over the place, including up the two little steps in our flat. She's also found the piano and will sit/stand in front of it and play/sing for long periods of time. Who knows, maybe Grandma Cokie is finally going to get a piano player (other than Papa Scott)....

Maddie, I like your turquoise and green flower dress. Isabelle is going to be walking before Emily at the rate she's going. Clever girl.

Man, the girls are so darn cute! I am glad that Maddie had a very happy birthday, and that you are all having some summer fun. Isabelle's performance on the piano was spectacular-she is a child prodigy! Piano at 7 months! Way to go!

Maddie is five?! Is she going to kindergarten this year? Is the school system similar to what we have here in Texas? Daesha starts kindergarten this year. She'll be one of the oldest in her class because of her October birthday. If we could get our families to match geography, they could be classmates! Oh well, we'll just have to wait until they go to BYU together...

I love the chair picture of Isabelle. We have the same ones of David. She seriously looks like Luke.

My Sarah just turned five on the
16th. We would have appreciated the sun on that day. It was a pool party with dinner etc. outside of course, and the weather was out of control. They closed the pool because of the storm. But still we went on with the party. Sad. Your girls are so dang cute. They look so happy in Merry Ol' England!
