While we were in Egypt, Maddie had to have a belly dancer scarf. She had a teacher at nursery school who was married to an Egyptian and would bring in belly dancer scarves and music for the kids. At pickup, we'd find them shaking their hips and having the time of their lives. They loved it! As Maddie wore her sash around Naama Bay, the men would call out, "Shakira". It was hilarious. Now that we're home, we realize that we should have bought one for Izzie, too.
Maddie also loves all things Indian - saris, bindis, bangles, and Bollywood films. Before we went to Egypt, Fancy Nancy took us on a fun filled outing to Little India. Last Sunday, Maddie decided to wear her sari sans pants to church.
