Cambridge

Saturday (27 September 2008) was too beautiful a day to stay close to home. So, we spent the day at Cambridge, which is just a short 1.5 hours from our flat.

Cambridge is a great town, with narrow, winding streets, lots of beautiful buildings, a central market, street performers, shopping and a river running through its center.

The highlights were the King's College Chapel and punting on the river Cam.

Here are a few pictures.

Great pictures. I had to take a double take at Maddie's shirt to see if it really was a skull on there. I don't think I would have put Maddie and skulls together. She does look very cute in it.

Cambridge is one of my favourite places. Did you happen to see the shoe store called Ally Lulu? Kristina had her picture taken there. It would be a great name for a shop run by the two of you. My favourite day is always the one where there are new pictures of any of my children or grandchildren on their blogs! I can't wait to see you at Christmas.

I just enlarged the photos and love that the skull is pink and has a pink crown. Now that's a skull shirt a girl like Maddie can wear!!!! Izzie looks so calm, give both girls a hug from me.
